A Recap of 2017

Holy crap, its 2018. 2017 was a very busy but a very rewarding year for me. Since 2017 clearly did not involve blogging, I thought I would provide an update on how the year went and what the plans are for 2018.

2017 treated me very well and exceeded my expectations. I was very blessed and overwhlemed by how the year went. I was able to partner with 6 different development shops and work on 41 projects in 2017. That was so awesome and very exciting.

With that workload, I saw the team grow. I brought on another front-end developer to help me provide more dedicated and focused solutions. In 2018, the plan is to be able to provide more high quality front-end dev resources to dev shops. We'll be looking to increase partnerships and work load a little bit in 2018.

As you can clearly see, I did not blog in 2017. Not even once. Woof. That is something I plan on doing more of in 2018. There are a lot of great things going on in the front-end development world, especially for Kentico front-end devs and I would love to discuss those.

There was a lot of change in 2017. My wife and I found out that we're expecting a third child in 2018, which is always incredibly exciting! We moved back to Michigan! We are looking to buy a home in 2018 and don't plan on moving again for a long time.

In addition to blogging more, I'm also planning on diving back into more back-end development. Back-end development was where my web career started and something I very much enjoyed. This will also help me provide more value to partners, which is great.

With all that said, I'm very excited about 2018 and excited to see what it brings!
